The Portuguese has been admiring Wayne Rooney for a long time and tried desperately to sign him for Madrid and Chelsea when he worked there.
Rob Beasley has published his book 'Jose Mourinho: Up Close and Personal'. He talked about his private moments with the Portuguese and revealed that he admires Rooney a lot.
He wanted to sign him in October 2010 for Real Madrid and in summer 2013 for Chelsea.
Beasly wrote about a conversation between himself, Mourinho and his son Josh.
Jose's opening line was a corker: 'What do you think of us trying to sign the Fat Boy [Rooney]?'" wrote Beasly.
"Josh was caught out for a second and didn't cotton on to the 'Fat Boy' joke at first. I started laughing and told him: 'He means Rooney — the Fat Boy is Rooney".
