Tottenham and England midfielder Dele Alli believes that Spurs have sent a huge statement to the Premier League after they became the only team to defeat Manchester City this season.
Tottenham pulled off an impressive result by beating Guardiola's side 2-0, something which no team has done yet this season and Alli believes that this has sent a message to the rest of the Premier League.
"It's massive. I think it's a big statement from us. We knew what we're capable of, we knew we'd have chances if we stuck to our game plan and it took it to them," Alli told 'Sky Sports' after the game.
"They're a great team and they'll be up there but we showed what we're made of.
"It's massive going into the international break - no one wants to go into that on the back of a loss, it's important we keep going".
Spurs now sit just one point behind Manchester City in the Premier League and are the only team to remain undefeated in England's top-flight so far.
